Miss Greater Camden 2013

On the weekend of February 22 I went to Camden to give up my crown as Miss Greater Camden 2012. Friday night rehearsals were a lot of fun and it was a wonderful opportunity to meet all of the contestants! At rehearsals, I got to hang out with the contestants and calm their nerves about any questions they had. The contestants were all absolutely amazing and I know the judges had a very tough decision!

On February 23, the pageant began! I walked each girl into their interview that morning. I really loved this portion of the pageant because I got to talk individually with each Teen and Miss contestant and get to know them a little bit better before they had their interview. After interview, the pageant began that afternoon at 2. It was so much fun to entertain throughout the pageant! I sang the National Anthem, Man of LaMancha, and On My Own. It was very bittersweet for me. The Miss Greater Camden pageant has definitely changed my life in so many ways. It allowed me the opportunity to go into many different schools throughout Arkansas and promote my platform "EveryONE Counts" raising awareness for children with disabilities. It also gave me the chance to meet so many amazing women throughout the state of Arkansas at the Miss Arkansas 2012 pageant. I cherished every moment and the Miss Greater Camden pageant has greatly changed my life. A year ago, I never thought I'd be where I'm at today. The Miss Arkansas system changed my life in so many ways. It's made me into the woman that I am today and I'm forever grateful for the amazing opportunities it's given me! I had the opportunity to crown one of my good friends, Molly Jones, as the new Miss Greater Camden 2013! We both went to Miss Arkansas together last summer and I'm so glad that we get to experience it together again this summer!
