Jumbo Gumbo Cook off for the Allen School

I had the opportunity to go to the Jumbo Gumbo Cook off for the Allen School in Little Rock at the River Market. The Allen School empowers children with special needs. The Jumbo Gumbo Cook off was a charity event to raise money for the children of Allen School. I had a lot of fun taste testing all of the amazing gumbo from all of the teams participating in this event! This event was a lot of fun and a big thank you to everyone who participated in this wonderful event to help the Allen School!

Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas

On March 30 we completed our pageant family! This was the last preliminary pageant before Miss Arkansas. There were so many beautiful and talented girls that competed! That afternoon my sister queens and I had the opportunity to judge the Little Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas pageant. The winners of this pageant will go on to the state pageant to be princesses! It was so much fun and all of the little girls were absolutely adorable!!! After we selected the princesses in the afternoon the Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas pageant began that night. A big congratulations to Alexis Landers, Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas' Outstanding Teen and to Mary Scarlett Sherwood, Miss Sweetheart of Arkansas. I'm so excited to spend the next few months with all of these beautiful girls preparing for the Miss Arkansas pageant! I'm blessed with some of the most amazing sister queens! Now, let the journey begin.

Miss OBU

I traveled to Arkadelphia with my director and sister queens to see which lucky girl was going to be crowned the new Miss OBU! The production number and court of honor was absolutely fabulous! I got to see so many great friends from the Miss Arkansas 2012 pageant and from high school. It was so much fun to see all of my friends and catch up with them! It was also a fun trip with my pageant family and a definite time for bonding! We made so many funny memories! I'm so lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful director and pageant family! Congratulations to Kylie Wright, Miss OBU 2013!

Miss Greater Camden 2013

On the weekend of February 22 I went to Camden to give up my crown as Miss Greater Camden 2012. Friday night rehearsals were a lot of fun and it was a wonderful opportunity to meet all of the contestants! At rehearsals, I got to hang out with the contestants and calm their nerves about any questions they had. The contestants were all absolutely amazing and I know the judges had a very tough decision!

On February 23, the pageant began! I walked each girl into their interview that morning. I really loved this portion of the pageant because I got to talk individually with each Teen and Miss contestant and get to know them a little bit better before they had their interview. After interview, the pageant began that afternoon at 2. It was so much fun to entertain throughout the pageant! I sang the National Anthem, Man of LaMancha, and On My Own. It was very bittersweet for me. The Miss Greater Camden pageant has definitely changed my life in so many ways. It allowed me the opportunity to go into many different schools throughout Arkansas and promote my platform "EveryONE Counts" raising awareness for children with disabilities. It also gave me the chance to meet so many amazing women throughout the state of Arkansas at the Miss Arkansas 2012 pageant. I cherished every moment and the Miss Greater Camden pageant has greatly changed my life. A year ago, I never thought I'd be where I'm at today. The Miss Arkansas system changed my life in so many ways. It's made me into the woman that I am today and I'm forever grateful for the amazing opportunities it's given me! I had the opportunity to crown one of my good friends, Molly Jones, as the new Miss Greater Camden 2013! We both went to Miss Arkansas together last summer and I'm so glad that we get to experience it together again this summer!

IHOP'S National Pancake Day for CMN

I had so much fun volunteering at IHOP on National Pancake Day! On National Pancake Day IHOP gave away a free short stack of pancakes to people who donated to Children's Miracle Network. I volunteered at IHOP in Conway with other local title holders and we all had a blast! We got to stand by the donation box in the waiting area and encourage every person that walked into IHOP to donate to Children's Miracle Network! It was a wonderful experience, I wish every day could be National Pancake Day for Children's Miracle Network!

UCA Basketball Game!

Last weekend I was asked to sing the National Anthem at the UCA Basketball Game! It was a lot of fun and I was honored to be asked to sing it at my college university! They turned out the lights and put a spotlight on me as I sang in middle court! They made me feel like a celebrity and they were all so nice! A big thank you to my best friend, Danika, for coming to the game with me and taking pictures! Nothing is better than getting to sing the National Anthem at my school and cheer on the UCA bears! Go Bears!!
